Mathematics Department Professors Participate in a Scientific Symposium on Mathematics and its Role in Medical, Economic and Industrial Sciences

Scientific Participaton 


A group of professors from the Department of Mathematics at the College of Education for Pure Sciences / University of Karbala participated in the scientific symposium entitled (Mathematics and its role in medical, economic and industrial sciences), which was held by the Iraqi Al-Khwarizmi Association and in cooperation with the Directorate of Karbala Education and the Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) Charitable Center for Development And education, on Friday, October 22, 2021, and at the school activity hall in the Holy Karbala Education Directorate. The delegation participating in this symposium was headed by Mr. Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs (Professor Amjad Hamid Al-Husseini). The scientific symposium was also attended by the Head of the Mathematics Department (Prof. Dr. Hossam Abdel Ali Mohamed), the Director of the Quality Assurance Division at the College (Prof. Dr. Riyad Delfi Ali) and a number of professors from the Department of Mathematics. The symposium witnessed an active presence of professors and researchers from various Iraqi universities. The research and participating working papers were divided into four sessions. The applications of mathematics in medicine, economics, and industry were presented. The number of working papers and participating research was presented by professors from various Iraqi universities. The symposium was also distinguished by the participation of professors from international universities from Syria, Britain and Algeria. Those who submitted research papers and working papers on some mathematics applications participated in them electronically. At the end of the symposium, the closing session was held, during which the recommendations that were inspired by all the working papers and research were presented, as well as the opinions of the participants and attendees. To come up with recommendations aimed at enhancing the visibility of the culture of mathematics and its role in all fields.
