The Thirteenth Session of the College of Education for Pure Sciences Council

The College of Education for Pure Sciences Council held its thirteenth session for the academic year (2025-2026), chaired by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hamida Aidan Salman, and attended by the members of the Council and the Secretary of the College Council.

The session began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah in remembrance of the martyrs of Iraq, followed by a welcoming address from the Dean, who emphasized the importance of strengthening institutional work and integration to contribute to the development of the educational process. The session included discussions on several important topics, most notably:

1. Strengthening joint cooperation with the Karbala Education Directorate to contribute to improving the educational and scientific landscape, as well as exploring mechanisms for developing the educational process and exchanging expertise between the two sides.

2. The ongoing preparations for the final examinations, including preparing classrooms, providing logistical support, and preparing examination schedules to ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations.

3. The adoption of an electronic grading system, particularly the use of the bubble sheet system for first-year students, aims to develop assessment methods and improve the quality of the educational process.

4. Achieving quality standards through the institutional accreditation requirements of the scientific departments, especially the Chemistry and Mathematics departments, and working to fulfill the necessary conditions for this.

5. The council discussed the mechanism for activating partnerships with schools under the Directorate of Education for third-year students, which enhances the practical aspect and connects theoretical knowledge with field applications.

At the conclusion of the session, the Dean emphasized the necessity of following up on the implementation of the recommendations and decisions made, and working as a unified team to achieve the desired goals and raise the level of academic and administrative performance in the college.
