The College of Education for Pure Sciences Organizes a Training Course on “How to Prepare and Implement a Self-Assessment Report for Laboratories within Quality Requirements.”

The Department of Life Sciences at the College of Education for Pure Sciences organized a training course entitled “How to Prepare and Implement a Self-Assessment Report for Laboratories within Quality Requirements.”

This course aims to review the overall performance of the laboratory and its adherence to approved standards, with the goal of improving the quality of work and ensuring the accuracy of results. The evaluation includes several key areas, including: Administration and Organization: the availability of a clear administrative structure and the definition of responsibilities and authorities within the laboratory. Occupational Safety: adherence to safety procedures, provision of protective equipment, and proper handling of hazardous materials. Equipment and Instruments: periodic maintenance and calibration of equipment to ensure the accuracy of results.

The course also covered several topics related to following approved analytical methods, accurately documenting results, and participating in quality control programs. It provides qualified and continuously trained staff. Materials management involves proper storage of chemicals and monitoring expiration dates.

The researchers recommended paying attention to such topics to ensure adherence to standards and accreditation requirements, including compliance with the standards of the Ministry of Education or regulatory bodies, and to prepare for obtaining academic accreditation and implementing national or international quality requirements.
