Remebrance of the Heinous Crimes by the Ba’athist Regime Of Saddam Hussein
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Today, we recall with profound sorrow the heinous crimes perpetrated by the Ba’athist regime of Saddam Hussein against the Iraqi people. These crimes included horrific massacres such as the Halabja massacre, the Anfal campaign, mass graves, and the suppression of the Sha’ban uprising, as well as the assassination of scholars and intellectuals and the targeting of national forces and political parties.
These crimes represent a dark chapter in the history of modern Iraq. Our people were subjected to oppressive practices and grave violations that affected all segments of society without exception, leaving behind human tragedies and pain whose effects remain etched in the national memory.
In conclusion, we remember with reverence and pride the souls of Iraq’s martyrs who sacrificed their lives for freedom and dignity. We pray to God Almighty to grant them His abundant mercy, and that Iraq may remain strong through its people, their awareness, and their will to build a better future characterized by security, stability, and coexistence among all its communities.
