A Glimpse into the PhD student seminars in the Chemistry Department
The Chemistry Department at the College of Education for Pure Sciences organized a series of seminars for postgraduate students, supervised by Professor Dr. Kawthar Abdul-Hussein Mahdi. Students presented and discussed their research projects through scientific presentations covering diverse research topics. These presentations garnered constructive feedback and interaction from the supervising professors and attendees.
Each student selects a scientific topic within their specialization, gathers relevant sources, and prepares a well-structured presentation. The presentation is then delivered to a committee or peers, followed by an open discussion and Q&A session to assess understanding and analysis. This course contributes to developing critical thinking skills, the ability to engage in scientific dialogue, and adherence to research methodology.
This event is part of the weekly scientific activities that the department is committed to holding regularly, aiming to refine students’ research skills and enhance their abilities in rigorous academic analysis and discussion.
