The Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences Attends the First Fatemeya Cultural Week Hosted by the University of Karbala.
Professor Dr. Hamida Aidan Salman, Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, attended the first Fatimid Cultural Week hosted by the University of Karbala to commemorate the birth of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her).
The event was held in the presence of the University President, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, along with several deans, department heads, and students, as part of the university’s program aimed at promoting cultural awareness and instilling ethical values within the academic community.
The ceremony included speeches and lectures that addressed the noble life of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), drawing inspiration from her humanitarian and intellectual contributions, and her ability to translate values into daily practice, reflecting the depth of her faith and moral commitment.
In his address, the University President stated that holding the Fatimid Cultural Week serves to remind us of the guiding light of Lady al-Zahra’s life (peace be upon her) and to draw inspiration from the sublime example of purity, serenity, and responsibility she set.
The university president pointed out that the university places at the forefront of its goals the consolidation of moral values within the university campus, considering them an essential complement to theoretical and applied knowledge, stressing that following the example of Fatima al-Zahra, peace be upon her, represents a constant source of inspiration in building the character of the researcher and student, enabling them to express their thoughts with integrity and responsibility by directing these scientific energies towards the public good.
