The College of Education for Pure Sciences Council Holds its Seventh Session for the Academic Year (2025-2026)

The College of Education for Pure Sciences Council held its seventh session for the academic year (2025-2026), chaired by the Dean, Professor Dr. Hamida Aidan Salman, and attended by the council members and the council secretary. Student representative Nawar Alaa Al-Sammak was also present.

This session was part of ongoing efforts to foster communication with students, listen to their opinions and suggestions regarding student needs, and develop appropriate solutions.

The Dean opened the session by reciting Surah Al-Fatihah in remembrance of the martyrs of Iraq. She then welcomed the council members, expressing her appreciation for their efforts in overseeing the college’s academic and administrative affairs and their commitment to improving its performance.

During the session, the council discussed several important topics, including:

• Monitoring the implementation of the college’s strategic plan and achieving its objectives according to the established timelines.

• Emphasizing the faculty’s responsibilities (teaching, scientific research, and community service) without any shortcomings, while also stressing the need to enhance scientific and research activities and activate community service initiatives.

• Strengthening the role of educational guidance and student counseling, and addressing student problems professionally to create a positive academic environment that fosters their progress and success.

• Awarding monthly grades on time, especially as the first semester nears its end, to ensure students have a clear academic picture and encourage them to improve their performance.

• Organizing graduate studies schedules to align with the nature of the courses, ensuring smooth procedures and providing a suitable environment for examinations.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Dean emphasized the importance of teamwork among all departments within the college. She also called for redoubled efforts in monitoring the educational process and supporting initiatives that contribute to serving students and enhancing the college’s reputation.
