The College of Education for Pure Sciences Organizes a Workshop on Establishing Entrepreneurial Projects within the Technology Incubator

The Physics Department at the College of Education for Pure Sciences organized a workshop entitled “Establishing Entrepreneurial Projects within the Technology Incubator.”

The workshop was presented by:

Dr. Ali Muslim Abdul-Muhsin

Assistant Lecturer Bashir Mohammed (Physics Department)

Assistant Lecturer Ayat Khalid (Mathematics Department)

This workshop aimed to introduce the concept of the technology incubator and its role in supporting emerging projects. It also aimed to clarify the steps for incubating innovative ideas and transforming them into viable projects, equipping students with entrepreneurial planning and small business management skills. Furthermore, it sought to foster a spirit of initiative and encourage students to develop projects with economic and social benefits.

The workshop covered several topics related to the mechanisms for adopting innovative ideas within technology incubators, from idea to prototype to production. It also addressed how to prepare a preliminary feasibility study for entrepreneurial projects, the mechanisms of technical, administrative, and logistical support provided by the incubator, and understanding market demands and the opportunities for success of entrepreneurial projects within the university environment.

The researchers recommended the importance of focusing on such topics to encourage students. This includes participating in the university’s technology incubator programs, adopting and supporting innovative entrepreneurial ideas by academic departments through research and technology, and organizing future workshops and courses focused on entrepreneurship and small business management.
