A delegation from Amirkabir University of Technology in Iran visited the College of Education for Pure Sciences.
As part of the College of Education for Pure Sciences’ efforts to strengthen its academic relations and open up to regional and international universities, the Dean of the College, Professor Hamida Eidan Salman, received a delegation from Amirkabir University of Technology in the Islamic Republic of Iran, headed by Dr. Saeed Sheikhzadeh Najjar, Director of Graduate Studies at the university. The delegation was attended by the Administrative Assistant, Professor Amjad Hamid Al-Hussaini; the Head of the Mathematics Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Yahya Abd; and the Director of the Continuing Education Division at the University of Karbala, Assistant Professor Dr. Ayser Ashour Khalaf.
During the meeting, prospects for scientific and academic cooperation between our college and the College of Science at Amirkabir University were discussed. Some important topics were agreed upon, most notably: • Exchanging field visits by professors between the two parties to learn about academic experiences and enhance the exchange of expertise. • Joint supervision of master’s theses and doctoral dissertations, which contributes to enhancing the quality of scientific research and expanding the horizons of academic supervision. • Exchange of professors and researchers to participate in scientific conferences and seminars and deliver lectures at academic events. • Form joint research teams to implement solid scientific projects in areas of shared specialization. • Exchange of knowledge, expertise, and scientific skills to support the development of academic and research performance. • Organize training and educational workshops for professors and students from both institutions. • Mutual use of scientific laboratories and libraries to develop research and educational activities.
This initiative falls within the framework of the College of Education for Pure Sciences’ strategic vision to strengthen international scientific partnerships and open broader horizons for cooperation in the fields of higher education and scientific research, contributing to the advancement and development of the academic process.
