Elections for the First Administrative Body of the Iraqi Society for Chemical Safety and Security
The esteemed Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Prof. Dr. Hamida Eidan Salman, attended the first administrative body elections for the Iraqi Society for Chemical Safety and Security, which were hosted by the College of Science at the University of Kerbala. The elections for the first administrative body of the Iraqi Society for Chemical Safety and Security were held under the auspices of the Presidency of the Universities of Karbala and Hilla, and under the supervision of the Supreme Council of Scientific Societies at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. In his speech, the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, stated that the interest in establishing this association stems from the Ministry’s concern for the safety of workers in all its formations. The university president continued, “The establishment of the Iraqi Society for Chemical Safety and Security reflects the true and wise vision of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi. He emphasized that it would not have come to fruition without the great support of the Supreme Council of Scientific Societies at the ministry.” For his part, the president of the Iraqi Society for Chemical Safety and Security, Dr. Baqir Al-Ardi, explained that the society aims to conduct specialized studies and research in safety, as well as cooperate with local and international universities and scientific institutions to serve the purpose of improving the level of chemical safety and security in public and private sector institutions.
