The College of Education for Pure Sciences Holds Its Eighth National/Fifth International Scientific Conference Entitled “Pure Sciences…Eternal Creativity”
Holding Its Eighth National/Fifth International Scientific Conference
Under the patronage of the honorable Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and the honorable President of the University of Kerbala, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, in cooperation with the University of Warith Al-Anbiya (peace be upon him) and the University of Hilla, and under the supervision of the honorable Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Prof. Dr. Hamida Eidan Salman, and under the slogan “Pure Sciences…Endless Creativity.” The College of Education for Pure Sciences held its eighth national/fifth international scientific conference today, Monday, April 14, 2025. The conference began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs of Iraq. The national anthem was then played. The President of the University of Kerbala, Professor Sabah Wajid Ali, then spoke about the importance of the conference. He explained that science knows no borders and is the best path to prosperity. Therefore, the University of Kerbala has worked to welcome scholars to such conferences, as they are important milestones towards globalization for the exchange of scientific findings in various fields. This contributes to strengthening academic-scientific relations. The University President also highlighted the important role of the College of Education for Pure Sciences and its sponsorship of these conferences to understand where science is headed and how to address major questions that require experimentation. This represents an important opportunity to learn about the latest developments, which contributes to enriching science. The Governor then highlighted the University of Kerbala’s success in organizing conferences and raising the educational level of students. He also highlighted the University’s success in obtaining support from the Ministry and the Governorate, making significant strides and creating clear synergies with other Iraqi universities, as is the case in its cooperation with Hillah Private University. Then, the Chairman of the Kerbala Provincial Council, Dr. Qasim Al-Yasari, explained the importance and benefits of these scientific conferences, as they lead to the exchange of ideas between professors and students and the demonstration of their intellectual abilities. They also benefit graduate students, who can ask questions and learn how to write scientific research according to a clear scientific methodology, benefit from it, and apply it to current realities. This is what the local government has adopted in implementing research to benefit society. The Dean of the College then spoke, highlighting the importance of this important scientific conference, hosted by our distinguished college in cooperation with the University of Warith Al-Anbiya (peace be upon him) and the University of Hilla. This conference represents a unique platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences between scientists and researchers from around the world, contributing to the advancement of scientific progress in the fields of pure sciences. Therefore, we were keen to organize this conference to provide an opportunity for researchers to present their latest research results and discuss the challenges facing the fields of pure sciences. This conference witnessed a wide turnout from researchers from around the world, reflecting the growing importance of the conference topics. The conference included a large number of research abstracts, amounting to (261) research papers. After a careful arbitration process, [134] outstanding research papers were selected to participate in the conference activities. These papers were divided into the various conference themes as follows: Biology Theme (42) Papers Chemistry Theme (25) Papers Mathematics Theme (23) Papers Physics Theme (13) Papers Computers Theme (31) Papers This number represents a great diversity in the fields of pure sciences, enriching scientific discussions and contributing to the exchange of experiences. The conference was also attended by Dr. Firas Al-Muslimawi, a member of the Parliamentary Education Committee, Mr. Wameed Khalil Ibrahim, Director of Education for the Holy Kerbala Governorate, and numerous deans of various colleges and university professors inside and outside the University of Kerbala.
