Meeting of Heads of Chemistry Departments at Colleges of Education for Pure Sciences Regarding the Implementation of the Bologna Process


The Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Prof. Hamida Eidan Salman, welcomed the heads of chemistry departments at colleges of education for pure sciences in all Iraqi universities. The meeting was attended by the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Ghassan Adnan Qahtan, and the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Lect. Amjad Hamid Al-Husseini, in addition to the Head of the Chemistry Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Shatha Abdul Amir Jawad. The meeting discussed the implementation of the Bologna Process at the College of Education for Pure Sciences for the upcoming academic year and for all academic levels.
The meeting began with a speech by the Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences. Details of the Bologna Process were then discussed, including the selection of courses, the number of units, and the number of credit hours, in line with the Ministry’s instructions on this topic. The meeting agenda was unanimously approved by the heads of academic departments. These agenda items will be submitted to the Deans’ Committee for approval. This meeting was held to highlight the importance of implementing the Bologna Process in colleges of education for pure sciences and to define the main plans for this process to be an innovative educational tool designed to facilitate the educational process.
