The Department of Physics at the College of Education for Pure Sciences organized a scientific lecture on (Intellectual awareness for university students towards an aware society immune to deviant ideas). It was presented by the lecturer Dr. (Hussein Musa Abdul). This lecture aimed to enhance intellectual awareness among university students to protect them from deviant ideas, enable them to think critically, consciously belong to society, and contribute to building an academic environment based on dialogue and tolerance. The lecture also included several axes on spreading intellectual awareness among university students through education, constructive dialogue, and promoting moral and national values, to protect them from negative intellectual influences, and enable them to contribute to building an enlightened and cohesive society. The researcher recommended the need to pay attention to such topics for a university community that enjoys deep intellectual awareness, capable of confronting destructive ideas, and contributing to an intellectual and cultural renaissance based on moderation and tolerance.
