Higher Education Ministers Conference in Abu Dhabi
The minister of higher education and scientific research, Dr. Naim al-Aboudi, confirmed the readiness and readiness of Iraq and its institutions to host the twentieth session of the conference of Ministers of higher education in the Arab world. This was stated in his official speech during the 19th Conference of Ministers of higher education and scientific research in the Arab world, hosted by the United Arab Emirates in cooperation with the Arab educational, cultural and scientific organization (alecso). The minister of higher education and scientific research, Dr. Naim al-Aboudi, appreciated the recommendations of the conference, which resulted in the approval of Iraq’s request to host the twentieth session of the conference of Ministers of higher education in Baghdad in 2026, explaining that Iraq and its specialized academic institutions are ready and ready to host the work of the twentieth edition in order to keep abreast of the developments of the Arab and international arena in the fields of higher education and scientific research, upgrading academic methodologies and supporting its adopted strategy. The minister of Education renewed his praise for the decision of the Council of the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils, which culminated in its historic decision to return the Union to its headquarters in the capital Baghdad and the positive interaction of the Union of Arab universities with the proposal of the Iraqi Ministry of higher education and scientific research to establish an Arab Higher Education area similar to the experience of the European Union. He added that the continuous and effective interaction between Arab institutions and universities and their academic hubs would reduce the gap between the Arab education spaces and open the way for interaction with sober educational environments in many important world capitals. The 19th Conference of Ministers of higher education and scientific research in the Arab world will be attended by ministers and experts of twenty-one countries and eight Arab and regional organizations for the period November 27-28 in Abu Dhabi and is entitled (flexible higher education system adapted to the accelerated global developments) and its recommendations resulted in approval to host the twentieth edition in the Iraqi capital Baghdad in 2026.
