Amending the Regulations for Transferring Foreign Students

The Opinion Board at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research decided to amend the general regulations for transferring foreign students wishing to transfer to corresponding specializations in Iraqi universities starting from the academic year 2025/2026 onwards.
The text of the decision stated👇:
Students studying in universities outside Iraq can be transferred to corresponding studies in Iraqi universities within the channel of private, international and private morning government education and according to the following regulations:
1- Cancel all additions to grades for competition purposes and competition shall be according to the minimum limits of the channel of private morning government education at the level of each university.
2- Adopting the minimum limit for applying and competing for transfer to medical colleges (95%) for government and private universities and (85%) for applying for transfer in colleges of dentistry and pharmacy in government universities and private universities/colleges. This is considered a step towards starting within the channel for transferring foreign students (government, private, international and private).
3- The condition for the student to successfully complete three academic stages and submit a transfer request upon success to the fourth stage in the faculties of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and all specializations.
4- To be successful in the third academic stage in all subjects, whether basic or non-basic, and the student should not be burdened with any subjects from the first and second stages.
5- Maintaining the decision to cancel privileges for all categories without exception.
6- Approving what was stated in the decision of the Opinion Authority including (95%) for faculties of human medicine and (85%) for faculties of dentistry and pharmacy for students wishing to complete their studies outside Iraq.
