Iraqi Universities Compete with Their Counterparts in the Times Rankings (Young University Rankings 2024)

The Times World Rankings issued the results of its version of the Young University Rankings 2024, which is fifty years old or less, in which six hundred and seventy-three universities around the world participated.
The official classification website (https://www.timeshighereducation.com/…/young-university…) showed nine Iraqi universities: the University of Technology, which came in the competitive ranking (301-350), then Al-Nahrain University (501-600), and Al-Qadisiyah University (501). -600), the University of Anbar (501-600), the University of Babylon (501-600), the University of Diyala (501-600), the Central Technical University (601+), the University of Kerbala (601+), and the University of Kufa (601+), while the previous version of the same classification indicated four Universities for the year 2023.
Competing universities are subject to an evaluation based on the performance indicators adopted in the ranking of leading international universities (The World University Rankings) and in light of the weights given to teaching, research, knowledge transfer, and international outlook.
It is worth noting that Iraq achieved 37th place in the world in the Times University Rankings for the year 2024 by registering Iraqi universities competing in the classification, which evaluated 2,024 universities from 108 countries around the world.
