The Minister of Higher Education Announces the Results of Central Admission and the Admission of 245,291 Students to Universities

Announcing the Results of Central Admission

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, announced the acceptance of (245,291) students in Iraqi government universities through the central admission channels for the academic year 2023/2024.
During the conference on announcing the results of the central admission, he explained that (237,066) students were accepted within the central admission channel for the general and martyrs’ families, (7998) were accepted within the direct admission channel, and (227) were accepted within the elite channel.
He continued that the number of students accepted through the central admission channel in the medical group reached (9333), with (4931) students in medical colleges, (2019) students in dentistry colleges, and (2383) students in pharmacy colleges, while the minimum limits for medical colleges were (99, 43), dentistry (98.86), and pharmacy (98.43).
He added that the numbers of admissions to the faculties of engineering (21,047), sciences (29,160), law (4,722), administration and economics (25,076), medical and health technologies (2,798), nursing (3,100), veterinary medicine (2,264), agriculture (4,109), arts (9,757), and languages (2,774) Education and basic education (52,432), medical institutes (17,362), and technological institutes (8,230).
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, directed universities to begin student registration procedures and adopt the central admission results data published on the Ministry’s official website https://mohesr.gov.iq/ar/ and the Studies, Planning and Follow-up Gateway (www.dirasat-gate.org).
