Chemistry Department Discusses Seminar on Preparation and Characterization of New Pharmaceutical Nanoparticles and Their Use in Breast Cancer Inhibition
As part of the scientific activities taking place in the Chemistry Department, a seminar was discussed for the student (Zahraa Mahdi Saleh Mahdi Al-Hussaini) under the supervision of (Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nazim Bahjat) entitled (Preparation and Characterization of New Pharmaceutical Nanoparticles and Their Use in Breast Cancer Inhibition) The aim of this seminar was to prepare joint secondary compounds of the polymer and the drug, by preparing a linear secondary polymer by reacting 2.0 moles of phthalic anhydride, which was dissolved in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), with 1.0 moles of glycerol. This secondary polymer was characterized using FT-IR, H NMR, AFM TEM XRD and DSC techniques, and then the linear secondary polymer reacted with a group of commonly used drugs, namely ampicillin, theophylline, folic acid, and paracetamol), to produce joint nanocomposites From polymer and drug, and conducting molecular bonding measurements of drug compounds. Wishing the student more success and excellence to complete her scientific career.
