Festival Honoring Researchers and Innovators

The honorable Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Prof. Dr. (Hamida Eidan Salman), attended the celebration held at the Presidency of the University of Karbala to honor researchers and innovators who won the “Iraqi Science Day” awards in conjunction with the University Week, in the presence of the President and members of the University Council and a number of professors, employees and students.
The honorable President of the University, Prof. Dr. (Sabah Wajid Ali), said that the honor represents an important initiative towards developing the educational process and motivating researchers to improve the quality of research and enhance excellence in scientific and research performance and achieve advanced positions in international classifications.
The President of the University of Karbala confirmed that the university is committed to supporting creative ideas, enhancing successes and improving indicators of institutional work to advance the university as a pioneering scientific institution that contributes to serving the community and meeting the requirements of the labor market.
For his part, the Director of the Scientific Affairs Department, Dr. (Fadel Nour El-Din Al-Moussawi), explained that the honor includes distinguished researchers who have good ratings (H-index Scopus) in appreciation of their role in enriching scientific research and enhancing the reputation of the university. He added that the awards do not only include researchers, but also accommodate innovators who have a clear imprint in raising the level of the university.
