The Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Prof. Dr. (Hamida Eidan Salman), attended (representing the President of the University of Kerbala) the 6th International Scientific Conference on Engineering Sciences and Advanced Technologies, held by the University of Hilla in cooperation with the Iraqi Academics Syndicate. The activities of the 6th International Scientific Conference on Engineering Sciences and Advanced Technologies (2024-IICESAT) were launched under the slogan “Scientific Research is a Gateway to a Bright Future”, at the University of Hilla for the period from January 28-29, 2025, with a wide attendance of prominent academic figures, including deans of colleges and professors from various universities. During the opening ceremony, Prof. Dr. Aqil Al-Saadi stressed the importance of enhancing scientific and technological efforts to achieve sustainable development, noting that: “This conference represents a leading scientific platform for exchanging ideas and experiences between researchers and engineers, which contributes to finding innovative solutions to contemporary engineering challenges, and enhances the role of Iraqi universities in building the future.” For his part, the representative of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate pointed out in his speech the importance of the partnership between universities and professional syndicates, saying: “This cooperation reflects our commitment to developing applied scientific research and supporting academics and researchers to achieve scientific leadership at the local and international levels. The conference included intensive scientific sessions in the university halls, in which researchers discussed a variety of research related to engineering and advanced technologies, in addition to honoring a number of distinguished academic figures who contributed to enriching the scientific movement, in appreciation of their efforts in supporting the path of scientific research and innovation.
