The College of Education for Pure Sciences Organizes its First Cultural Festival on the Crimes of the Baath Party

The First Cultural Festival

Under the patronage of the respected President of the University of Kerbala, Prof. Dr. (Sabah Wajid Ali), and under the supervision of the respected Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Prof. Dr. (Hamida Eidan Salman). The College of Education for Pure Sciences organized its first cultural festival on the crimes of the Baath Party under the slogan (Baath Crimes, Memory of Pain and Steadfastness of Hope), in cooperation with the Martyrs Foundation – Kerbala Branch, on Wednesday 12/18/2024 in the hall of the late Prof. Hussein Ali Abdul Latif.
The festival aimed to shed light on the dark era that the Iraqi peoples lived under the injustice of the rule of the defunct Baath Party, while highlighting the violations and crimes committed against humanity and consolidating historical awareness, enhancing the values ​​of justice and fairness, and supporting efforts to reconcile with the past to build a stable and bright future.
The festival also included documenting crimes and displaying and documenting crimes and violations committed by the Baath Party through live testimonies, exhibitions, documentaries, and enhancing historical awareness by introducing new generations to the tragic events that occurred during that period to avoid their recurrence. The Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences stressed the importance of reviving collective memory and emphasizing the importance of recalling the past to honor the victims, enhance the values ​​of human solidarity, highlight steadfastness, and focus on the stories of survivors and peoples who overcame those ordeals in order to achieve human justice. The Dean also honored the members of the Martyrs Foundation who participated in the festival.
