The Department of Biology Organizes a Scientific Forum on the Green Environment of the Earth

Scientific Forum

The Department of Biology at the College of Education for Science organized a scientific forum on the green environment of the Earth and how to preserve it. Its teaching presenter (Asst. Prof. Qoyoud Tha’aban Youssef).
The forum aimed to identify the environmental challenges facing our planet, which has made it necessary to search for innovative solutions to preserve the environment and achieve sustainability. Green technologies play an important role in reducing the environmental impact of human activities, contributing to reducing carbon emissions and the consumption of natural resources, enhancing survival opportunities by increasing food production and providing water, and preserving biodiversity.
The forum also included many things you can do every day to help preserve the green planet, including: planting a tree or two, conserving water, and building a partnership between ministries and research bodies regarding all issues of environmental protection, biodiversity, climate change, and green sustainability of the environment. Proposing policies, strategic plans and executive programs related to issues and challenges of green development and environmental sustainability. The researcher recommended the need to pay attention to such topics by encouraging the use of renewable energy sources, treated water, cleaner production projects, consumer and sustainable production, waste and pollutant recycling processes, and following up on their implementation, in coordination with the relevant authorities.
