The College of Education for Pure Sciences organized a festival on (The Holy Quran and Science: Their role in Building the Human Being, Unleashing His Energies and Directing His Movement). It was delivered by the lecturer (Dr. Ali Hamad Al-Kalkawi).
The festival aimed to build bridges of communication between students and professors from the Institute of the Holy Quran and the College of Education for Pure Sciences, to create interaction between the Holy Quran and the natural sciences.
The festival also included several axes on the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran: The festival began with a fragrant recitation from the Holy Quran. A welcoming speech: presented by one of the professors of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, as well as common questions between the Holy Quran and the natural sciences, directed to mixed teams from the two colleges to enhance cooperation and interaction. In addition to presenting an appreciation shield to the lecturer.
The researcher called for attention to such topics in order to achieve harmony between religious and scientific values, by enhancing cooperation between the Institute of the Holy Quran and the College of Education for Pure Sciences. Which seeks to show how science and religion can complement each other in developing society and enhancing students’ scientific and spiritual skills.
