Publishing a Scientific Research
The lecturer, Lecturer Dr. (Shaima Malik Yasser) from the Department of Biology at the Faculty of Education for Pure Sciences, published a scientific research entitled (ORIGANUM MAJORANA ATTENUATES CIPROFLOXACIN-INDUCED NEPHROPATHY IN RATS), in the international journal (Wiadomości Lekarskie). The research aimed to find out whether Origanum Majorana (O. M.) has any protective properties in mice. The research also included an increase in blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and creatinine levels after treatment with ciprofloxacin. The study found that the levels of BUN and creatinine in the blood serum in the Ciprofloxacin + O. Majorana groups were lower as well as in the O. Majorana groups, however, kidney damage was higher in the Ciprofloxacin group and tissue damage was lower in the combination groups and O. Majorana group mice
