The lecturer, Asst. Prof. Dr. (Abbas Fadhel Hadi) from the Department of Physics at the College of Education for Pure Sciences, published a scientific research entitled (Study of Sr hexaferrite prepared by ceramic method within x-band waves), in the journal (IOP Conference Series Materials Science and Engineering). The aim of the research was to prepare samples of strontium hexaferrite (SrFe12O19) by the ceramic method with dimensions {diameter (D = 3 cm) and thickness (t = 2.5 mm)}, and they were examined using a vector network analyzer within X-Band waves (bandwidth (8-12) GHz). Three samples of this type of ferrite were sintered at three temperatures (1000, 1050, 1100) degrees Celsius. The samples that were sintered at 1050 degrees Celsius and 1100 degrees Celsius.
The research also included the preparation and study of materials that absorb electromagnetic waves within the X-band and examining them with a vector network analyzer for use in scientific and practical fields. The study resulted in the preparation of samples of hexagonal ferrite (strontium ferrite) and examining them using a vector network analyzer within the X-band of electromagnetic waves for the purpose of obtaining materials that absorb electromagnetic waves, which can be used in many applications such as smart phones and other civil and military applications.
