Publishing a Scientific Research

The lecturer, Asst. Prof. Dr. (Abbas Fadhel Hadi) from the Department of Physics at the College of Education for Pure Sciences, published a scientific research entitled (A Study of Manganese Ferrite Prepared by the Solid State Reaction) in the (Nonlinear Optics Quantum) Journal
within the fourth quarter (Q4)
The aim of the research was to prepare samples of spinel ferrite with the chemical formula (MnFe2O4) using the solid state reaction method to absorb X-Band electromagnetic spectrum waves at a frequency ranging between (8-12) GHz. They were diagnosed using a waveguide device. The values of the reflection coefficient, absorption coefficient and attenuation coefficient were calculated for all (3) prepared samples at sintering temperatures: 1050, 1100, 1150 degrees Celsius.
The research also included the preparation and study of electromagnetic wave absorbing materials within the X-band and examining them with a waveguide device for use in scientific and practical fields. The study found the appearance of a number of resonance absorption peaks in the X-band frequency range. The lowest reflectivity values and the highest absorption, in addition to attenuation, were observed for the sintered samples at 1150 °C. The XRD results showed good agreement with the standards, except for some secondary phases of the ferrite samples.
