The Minister of Higher Education Receives an Official Invitation to Visit the Republic of Hungary and Confirms the Progress of Academic Cooperation and Global Partnerships
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, received an official invitation from the Republic of Hungary to visit the capital, Budapest, and develop scientific and academic cooperation relations. This came when he received the Ambassador of the Hungarian Republic to Baghdad, Mr. Attila Tarr, where they discussed joint cooperation programs between educational institutions in the two countries. During the meeting, the Minister of Education stressed his keenness to build bridges of cooperation with Hungarian higher education institutions, benefit from their experiences, establish contexts of understanding between Iraqi and Hungarian universities, and exchange scholarships, noting that the Study in Iraq initiative, which is managed and supervised by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, aims to attract international students in Iraqi universities have provided a positive climate for scientific and cultural exchange between Iraq and the countries of the region and the world, pointing at the same time to the ministry’s readiness to receive requests to establish reputable foreign universities to open branches in Iraq with the aim of developing and strengthening global partnerships. For his part, His Excellency the Hungarian Ambassador, Mr. Attila Tarr, expressed his country’s readiness to strengthen scientific and educational partnerships, frame twinning programs between Iraqi and Hungarian universities, and exchange experiences in the scientific and technical fields, praising the vision and decisions of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, to move toward the internationalization of higher education and interaction with international experiences.
