The Chemistry Department Organizes a Training Course on Laboratory Safety of Biological and Chemical Materials

The Chemistry Department at the College of Education for Pure Sciences organized a training course on (Laboratory Safety Course on Laboratory Safety for Biological and Chemical Substances and Laboratory Waste Disposal Methods), delivered by (Mr. Maha Jassim Munshid), (Mr. Sally Nasser Abbas), (Mr. Hajar Muhammad Kazem), (Mr. Abeer Sattar Hamad).
The training course aimed to raise awareness and educate students on the basics of their use of the laboratory in order to preserve the safety of students and workers throughout the various stages of study.
The training course also included several topics. The first topic included: the concept of laboratory safety, the reasons for following safety in the laboratory, and the basics of laboratory safety. The second axis: clarifying the indicative signs of laboratory materials, methods of disposing of laboratory waste. While the third axis dealt with: the basics of first aid inside the laboratory.
Those interested were invited to pay attention to such topics in order to train on first aid inside the laboratory and methods of waste disposal after conducting practical experiments inside the laboratory.
