The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, honored a number of pioneers, experts and specialists in the field of law on the occasion of Iraqi Legislation Day. This came during the celebration organized by the Legal Department, which was held at the Faculty of Law at Al-Nahrain University, where he stressed that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is working with all determination to achieve what is required of responsible dealing with the laws and their specializations, embodying the culture of legal specializations, and reaching the maximum extent of application in all vital and strategic fields. For state institutions and developing successful scientific indicators to link the outputs to the public and private sectors and meet society’s need for legal specialists. He pointed to the inclusion of law specializations in the central evaluation examination administered and supervised by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the initiation of placing law colleges and their departments among the specializations covered by the implementation of the Bologna Process in the coming years. In his speech, the Minister of Education called for more legislation that takes into account the highest interest of the state and urged universities to activate the powers granted to them under the law in order to improve the quality environment and overcome challenges.
