Higher Education Holds a Symposium on the Occasion of International Anti-Corruption Day and Integrity Week

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research held a symposium on the occasion of International Anti-Corruption Day and Week with the participation of researchers, academics and specialists. The Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Adnan Ibrahim Al-Jumaili, said in his speech that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research succeeded in establishing a sound environment to identify and combat manifestations of corruption, represented by the shift to automation and digital transactions. For his part, Director of the Legal Department, Dr. Ahmed Jaafar Shawi, and Head of the National Integrity and Anti-Corruption Strategy Team at the Federal Integrity Commission, Mr. Wissam Hussein, touched on the importance of implementing the National Integrity and Anti-Corruption Strategy, institutional evaluation indicators, and annual achievement rates achieved in this field. The symposium, which was held under the slogan (With integrity, we build nations), reviewed the aspects that lead to corruption, their causes, and how to address them by raising community awareness and explaining the dangers of corruption and its future effects.
