A lecturer from the Department of Life Sciences, Assistant Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul-Hussein Karim Al-Daami, published a scientific research in the Journal of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Cancer Research, which is classified within Scopus, and is titled (Isolation and Disgnosis of Resistant Bacteria in Pregnant Women with Urinary Tract Infections in Karbala). The research aimed to isolate and diagnose antibiotic-resistant bacteria from pregnant women in the city of Karbala. The results of the study showed that E. coli is the most widespread bacteria, and its resistance is of the XRD type to a wide range of antibiotics, including AMOX, CFR, CN, and CX. CXM and CAE.
