The College of Education for Pure Sciences Holds a Training Course on Protecting Laboratory Workers from the Dangers of Using High-voltage Electrical Devices

Training Course

Within Global Entrepreneurship Week, the Department of Physics at the College of Education for Pure Sciences held an in-person training course entitled (Protecting Laboratory Workers from the Dangers of Using High-voltage Electrical Devices) delivered by:
(Asst. Prof. Rasoul Ramadan Etab), (Lect. Haider Fahim Saber), and (Asst. Lect. Doaa Bashir Hussein).
This topic falls within the important topics of laboratory safety, as they explained at the beginning of the training course about the potential difference between electrical current and high voltage… in addition to knowing the experiments or devices that use high voltage.
Most of the dangers of electrical current arise from the incorrect handling of electrical equipment and machines by non-technicians. Therefore, specialized electrical technicians, based on their educational and training qualifications, must know these dangers and ways to avoid sources of danger and remove them immediately. At the end of the training course, the best advice and appropriate instructions were given to avoid the biggest mistakes that could occur inside the laboratory.
