Master Thesis Discussion
The Department of Biology in the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Karbala discussed a master’s thesis entitled (The Effect of Dexamethasone on the Heart and Blood Vessels and the Protective Role of Vitamin (B12) in Adult Male Rabbits) to the Student (Meeting Ahmed Jabbar Al-Jourani) and under the supervision of (Asst. The thesis aimed to find out the side effects of dexamethasone on the heart and blood vessels and the protective role of vitamin (B12) being an effective antioxidant and to reduce the side effects of this drug. The thesis also showed that long-term treatment with the drug leads to negative side effects on the heart and blood vessels, and a protective role for vitamin B12 appeared in reducing the side effects of this steroid drug. The letter recommended not to use the drug for a long time, as it causes negative side effects on the heart and blood vessels. The student obtained an honors degree.
