The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, announced the submission of more than three thousand international students to study in Iraqi universities for the academic year 2023/2024. In his speech during the first scholarship conference held by the Supreme Committee for Education Development in Iraq, he confirmed that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research succeeded in establishing its pioneering project tagged (study in Iraq) to attract international students to study in Iraqi universities whose official platforms have documented more than three thousand applicants from countries. At the same time, he revealed the ministry’s readiness to hold a conference on the internationalization of education, which will be held next November, to host a group of universities that top the first quarter of the results of the Shanghai classification, in order to expand the horizons of partnership between Iraqi universities and their international counterparts, and to consolidate the vision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research towards transformation.
