More than a hundred governmental and private Iraqi universities and colleges achieved competitive results in the global Web Matrix classification within the second half of the year 2023.
31,000 educational institutions from more than 200 countries around the world were classified according to indicators that measure the virtual presence of universities through their locations, marking clarity (50%), transparency (10%), and research strength and excellence (40%).
The University of Baghdad came in the center (1571), then it was followed by the universities of Diyala, Al-Mustansiriya, Al-Qadisiyah, Mosul, Kufa, Technology, Babel, Anbar and other Iraqi universities that were indicated by the official website of the classification (https://www.webometrics.info/en/Asia/Iraq) affiliated to the Supreme Center for Scientific Research in Spain .
