The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, received the Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities, Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, and they discussed developing prospects for joint work. During the meeting, the Minister of Education affirmed the keenness of the Iraqi academic institution to cooperate and coordinate with the Union’s institutions, which include the corresponding college associations and the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Council, and to set the necessary steps to achieve development indicators and goals and create an environment for scientific and research partnerships between Arab universities. The Minister of Education called on the Association of Arab Universities to hold a meeting of its general conference in Baghdad to enhance the climate of communication between Arab universities and increase aspects of scientific and academic integration and cooperation, pointing to the importance of the initiative launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research tagged (study in Iraq) to attract international students. For his part, the Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, Dr. Amr Salama Ezzat, expressed his great thanks to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, for the keenness indicated in cooperation and enabling universities to hold productive partnerships and reach the highest level of response to quality requirements and the relentless pursuit of international accreditation and the application of modern educational tracks and programs and achieving harmonization between university outputs and the labor market, pointing to the importance of the academic impact enjoyed by Iraqi universities in terms of indicators of scientific research, exchange of knowledge and specialized programs.
