Visit of the Minister of Education to the Jordan University of Science and Technology
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Head of the Iraqi Atomic Energy Commission, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, visited the Jordan University of Science and Technology and discussed areas of joint cooperation. At the beginning of the meeting, which took place in the presence of the President of the University, Dr. Khaled Al-Salem, the President of the Jordanian Atomic Energy Commission, Dr. Khaled Touqan, and members of the Iraqi delegation, the Minister of Education confirmed the progress of the Iraqi Ministry of Education and its university institutions in developing the environment of scientific partnerships in specialized fields, especially engineering, technical and medical ones, and achieving the highest level of cooperation. The delegation was briefed on the sub-critical nuclear system in the university campus and listened to an extensive briefing on the work and operation of the nuclear system, which aims to provide the necessary environment for training students of the Nuclear Engineering Department to conduct experiments and study the physics of nuclear reactors in a safe educational environment.
