The Minister of Education and his Jordanian counterpart discussed twinning programs between universities
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, held a meeting with his Jordanian counterpart, Dr. Azmi Governorate, during which they discussed twinning programs between universities, joint agreements and memorandums of understanding, and scientific cooperation programs between the two countries. In the meeting, which was attended by the head of the Jordanian Atomic Energy Commission, Dr. Khaled Touqan, the two sides discussed the importance of scientific and academic cooperation between Iraqi and Jordanian universities and the importance of joint coordination in light of memorandums of understanding between the two countries. In his speech, the Minister of Education affirmed that the area of cooperation between the two countries provides a positive scientific environment for the development of expertise, skills, curricula and joint specialized research, and that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is keen on productive partnerships, keeping abreast of changes and cultural exchange, and proceeding with the development of capabilities and indicators of development in the performance of university institutions, pointing to the openness of the Ministry of Higher Education. And its universities to partner and attract international students at the level of primary and higher studies to study in Iraqi universities. In turn, the Jordanian Minister of Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Azmi Muhafaza, stated that the universities of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan are proud of their relations and joint programs with Iraqi universities, which have hosted and graduated many students and personalities, pointing to the consolidation of climates of joint cooperation that serve the interest of academic institutions, students and researchers in the two brotherly countries.
