A lecturer from the Department of Physics at the College of Education for Pure Sciences (Prof. Dr. Ahmed Khairallah Shaheed) delivered a lecture at the Department of Water and Sewage on (Energy Generation from Waste). In the presence of representatives from all service departments in Karbala Governorate. The departments include the Electricity Department, Water and Sewage Department, Municipalities and Environment Department. The lecture included several axes: the first axis represented the definition of what waste is, its classification and how to manage waste, the second axis is how to treat it in terms of waste reduction, classification and the possibility of recycling, and the third axis included how to produce energy from waste after knowing the amount of greenhouse energies that can be invested from it, and the axis The fourth is the challenges that the governorate faces in establishing this project. The lecture recommended discussing the four methods of producing energy from waste and determining the most appropriate method in light of the available data in the Governorate and its exploitation for energy production.
