The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, sent a letter to his Malaysian counterpart, Professor Muhammad Khalid bin Noor Al-Din, affirming his keenness to develop scientific and academic relations between the two countries. The message carried by the Counselor, Dr. Alaa Abdul Hassan Attia, in the presence of the Iraqi Cultural Attaché in Kuala Lumpur and several international academic experts, stated: The Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research expresses the keenness and desire of its institutions to deepen the bonds of historical friendship between the two countries and to strengthen scientific and academic relations through the exchange of students and researchers between Iraqi and Malaysian universities. The letter affirmed the support and encouragement of all kinds of cooperation, especially about the (Study in Iraq) program launched by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, regarding attracting international students to study in Iraqi universities at the primary and postgraduate levels.
