Visiting of the Minister of Education to the University of Oxford
The Wolfson College website at the University of Oxford described the visit of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, to it as historic and the first of its kind for an Iraqi Minister of Education.
And its official website (https://www.wolfson.ox.ac.uk/…/Iraq’s-minister-higher…) published the news of the visit that the Minister of Education and his accompanying delegation made on May 11, 2023, to Oxford University and WOLFSON College. Its president, Sir Tim Hitchens, welcomed the visit in his speech he delivered on the platform of the meeting with the Iraqi scientific elites and competencies working in the United Kingdom.
And the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, announced during his visit to the University of Oxford the establishment of the Iraqi Competence Council, which includes the academic, professional, and medical elites working in Britain to create an environment for cooperation and scientific partnership, while he participated before that in the World Education Forum in London (Education World Forum 2023) He met Iraqi students studying at UK universities and visited the Oxford Center for Islamic Studies (OCIS).
