A lecturer from the Department of Biology at the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Karbala, Dr. (Fatima Karim Khudair), published scientific research in an international journal (ANNALS OF FOREST RESEARCH). Where the anatomical characteristics of epidermal characteristics were studied on seven species of the bougainvillea family Nyctaginaceae and many features of deciduous epidermis and were useful for separating between species, especially the epithelial and quantitative characteristics of long cells, and stomata, and the mentioned cells differed in length, width, number of stomata, number of axial epidermis and axial epidermis, Their lengths, the number and length of hairs, the number of hair-forming cells, which produced many important characteristics for the identification and diagnosis of a variety of bougainvillea. It also included a study of other characteristics of the same family to accurately distinguish between varieties and a chemical study of the components of the species. The study aimed to know the anatomical characteristics of skin traits, study the variation and use these traits to separate between these discrepancies taxonomically and between species of the same family.
