The College of Education for Pure Sciences has prepared an in-person training course entitled “How to Detect Antioxidants in Plant Extract by TLC Method.” Dr. Radhya Najm Abd, from the Department of Life Sciences, and Ms. Inam Jouda Rady, from chemistry department.
Where the course was based on three axes, represented by the first axis, which dealt with plant extracts and antioxidants contained in plants, the second axis, types of chromatography, the pros and cons of the method used, and the third axis, the practical detection of antioxidants. The overall objective of the course was to detect antioxidants in plant extracts by thin layer chromatography method.
