The Minister of Education Received the Syrian Ambassador
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, received the Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to Iraq, Mr. Sattam Jadaan Al-Dandah, and they discussed aspects of scientific and academic cooperation between the two countries. During the meeting, the Minister of Education stated the keenness of the Ministry and its universities to develop bilateral cooperation with the institutions of Arab countries, including the Syrian Arab Republic, especially after launching the project and initiative (Study in Iraq), which opens the way for more interaction and scientific and cultural exchange. He added that one of the priorities of the programs approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is to benefit from academic and scientific experiences and expertise, and to consolidate joint work that supports the areas of developing the higher education sector. For his part, the Syrian ambassador expressed his high appreciation for the policy and vision of the Iraqi Ministry of Education, pointing at the same time to the readiness of his country’s universities to enhance joint cooperation and support the pioneering initiative launched by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, in attracting international students, holding scientific conferences, and exchanging university programs and experiences.
