The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, received the Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils, Dr. Abdul-Majid bin Muhammad Al-Habib Benamarah.
During the meeting, the Minister of Education renewed the keenness of Iraq and its academic institutions on scientific and research cooperation with Arab countries through the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils to achieve positive integration between Arab universities and research centers, pointing to the importance of developing scientific partnerships that would contribute to meeting the areas of sustainable development and its goals.
He stressed that university education in Iraq is on the verge of an important modernization in terms of educational systems and curricula, which necessitated the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to adopt a project (study in Iraq) to accept international students in Iraqi universities, especially after their advancement in the path of competition within international rankings.
For his part, the Secretary-General of the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils praised the project to attract international students in Iraq, while expressing his wishes for the success of the initiative and its program dedicated to studying in Iraqi universities, stressing that the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils is keen to develop the exchange of experiences and hold conferences that support the development of cooperation in the fields. different specialization.
