The College of Education for Pure Sciences Organizes a Training Course on Demodex (Face Mites)

Training Course

The Department of Biology at the College of Education for Pure Sciences organized a training course on Demodox (face mites). The course was delivered by (Prof. Dr. Israa Nasser Ghulam). The aim of this course was to demonstrate the effect of this insect on the facial skin and the problems it causes such as rashes, acne, pimples, inflammation of the eyelids, blockage of the sebaceous glands, inflammation of the cornea and dry eyes. Where it showed that all these problems are inversely associated with low immunity.
The course also demonstrated the effect of tea tree oil in getting rid of this insect, in addition to active creams and lotions with the following ingredients: benzyl benzoate, salicylic acid, selenium sulfide, crotamiton sulfate, flagyl, and permethrin. The course was attended by a number of professors and instructors of the department.
