The Department of Biology Holds an In-Person Training Course on the Steps and Techniques Used in Making Tissue Sections

The Department of Biology at the College of Education for Pure Sciences organized an in-person training course entitled (Steps and techniques used in making tissue sections) delivered by: (Prof. Dr. Naseer Mirza Hamzah), (Asst. Prof. Dr. Israa Nasser Ghulam) and (Asst. Dr. Ali Hussein Kazem). It was attended by teachers, researchers and a group of people interested in this topic. This course aimed to identify the steps of making tissue sections by obtaining and fixing the sample, then washing the sample, removing water from the sample, and other steps. The course also included a definition and practical application of each step. The researchers called for attention to such topics because the study of tissue sections has a major role in our daily life and the diagnosis of diseases, as well as the work related to the examination of tissue samples for diseases through the establishment of anatomical pathological tests and the provision of diagnostic information on the basis of the examination. We wish more creativity and progress in the field of scientific activities aimed at serving our dear college, and God Almighty grant success.
