The College of Education for Pure Sciences organizes a scientific symposium on preventive action against the dangers of addiction and drug abuse for families

A Scientific Symposium

The College of Education for Pure Sciences organized a symposium entitled (Preventive Action against the Risks of Addiction and Drug Abuse for Families), which was delivered by:
The Scientific Assistant to the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Najm Abdel-Hussein Najm
Brigadier General Jabbar Fadl Sukkar
Colonel Eng. Ihsan Youssef Jalil
The civil servant, Abbas Fadel Abdel Rahman
The symposium was attended by a group of teachers and researchers interested in this topic. Where this scientific symposium aimed to identify the problem of drugs and the importance of safety from them and their bad impact on society, especially the youth, and this problem threatens the social, economic, and political stability of countries, wastes public health for people, destroys individuals, families, and societies, and increases the speed in crime rates, violence, and corruption.
The researchers called for paying attention to such issues because the problem of narcotics and psychotropic substances has an advanced position among the problems of the contemporary world, as in the past it concerned only a limited number of countries that suffered from it. In today’s world, this problem threatens all human beings and the entire international community with its harm and dangers. More efforts must be made by states, civil society, organizations, and agencies concerned to address the problem of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances on public health and the rapid increase in crime rates, violence, and corruption, in addition to diverting human and material resources from social and economic development to combating operations. We wish for more creativity and progress in the field of scientific activities aimed at serving our dear college, and from God Almighty, success and payment.
