The Department of Biology Holds a Training Course on the Appropriate Sample Size and Statistical Analysis of its Results

The Department of biology at the College of Education for Pure Sciences at Karbala University organized an in-person training course entitled (The appropriate sample size and statistical analysis of its results) under the supervision of (Asst. Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul-Hussein Karim). The target audiences were: lecturers, postgraduate students and researchers.
Where the course aimed in its theoretical part during the first day to define the society and the types of theoretical, available and targeted societies and the necessary steps in selecting the sample from each society and focusing on the laws to be followed in determining the size of the sample and according to the nature of the research. As for the second day, the focus will be on the use of statistical equations and their application in extracting the sample size for studies of different nature and the practical application of Excel and SPSS to be appropriate in their results and generalizing them to the population drawn from it. As for the third day, it is devoted to conducting a test for the participants in the course to determine the sample sizes for the study of different societies.
