Panel Discussion
Within a series of scientific activities held by the scientific departments in the College of Education for Pure Sciences, and under the patronage of the respected Mrs. Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences (Prof. Hamida Idan Salman), the Department of biology at the College of Education for Pure Sciences held a panel discussion entitled (The Great Drought), which was delivered by Dr. Talib Hashem Matlab The aim of this seminar was to identify the most important climatic changes that lead to droughts in different parts of the world and the devastating effects they left. The severe droughts that various countries have been subjected to throughout history, ancient and modern, were also discussed. Finally, reference was made to the economic cost of droughts and the most important measures proposed to reduce its effects. In conclusion, an extensive discussion took place between the speaker and the audience and an exchange of views and ideas took place, during which questions related to the topic were answered.
